The clinic is in Şişli, central Istanbul, with our coordinators speaking 9 languages. The first visit is the longer one: consultation, scan, any extractions and implant placement, plus a check-up before you fly. The second visit, for the permanent crowns, is short. Your coordinator plans both around your flights and stays in contact throughout the months in between.
After placement, expect mild soreness or swelling for a few days, managed with ordinary painkillers. Stick to soft food for the first week, keep the area clean as instructed and avoid smoking while the bone heals. Once the permanent crowns are fitted, an implant is cared for like a natural tooth: brush, floss and see a dentist for routine check-ups.
Implants carry a lifetime guarantee. Crowns and veneers are guaranteed for 5 to 10 years, depending on the treatment and the brand of material used. You also have lifetime aftercare support: if anything worries you after you return home, you write to your coordinator and a clinician answers.
