What the same treatment costs elsewhere
Published ranges for zygomatic treatment in higher-cost markets, for comparison:
- United Kingdom — roughly £10,000–£25,000 for a full upper arch, with London practices at the top of that range and clinics further north at the lower end.
- United States — roughly $30,000–$50,000 for a full upper arch; individual zygomatic implants are commonly quoted between $15,000 and $25,000.
Those are market ranges rather than any one clinic's price list, and they move with location and complexity. We publish them because a saving is only meaningful if you can see what it is measured against.
The reason for the gap is not the hardware. The implant systems, the CT-guided planning and the surgical protocol are the same. What differs is the cost of employing a surgical team and running an operating room in Istanbul rather than central London.
How to compare two zygomatic quotes honestly
Zygomatic quotes are unusually hard to compare, because clinics draw the boundary of "the treatment" in different places. Before you compare two numbers, make both clinics answer the same four questions:
- How many implants, and of which type? Two zygomatic plus two standard is a different operation, and a different price, from four zygomatic.
- Is the temporary bridge included? In most zygomatic cases a fixed temporary bridge is fitted during the same visit. If a quote omits it, it is not a complete quote.
- Is the final bridge included, and in which material? This is usually the largest single component after the surgery itself.
- What happens if the plan changes after the scan? A clinic that cannot answer this before you travel will not answer it well afterwards.

Is the cheapest quote the right one?
For most dental treatment, price shopping is reasonable. For zygomatic implants it is the wrong instinct, and it is worth being blunt about why.
These implants are anchored in the cheekbone, passing close to the maxillary sinus and the orbital floor. The published complications of the technique — sinusitis, soft-tissue problems around the implant head — are strongly associated with technique and case selection rather than with the implant itself. The systematic review literature reports high survival for zygomatic implants overall, and the variable that most reliably separates good outcomes from poor ones is the experience of the surgeon placing them.
What you are actually buying is a surgeon who does this operation regularly, a CT-based plan, and a clinic that will still be there if something needs attention in five years. Choose on that, then compare price among the clinics that pass.
Is it worth travelling for?
That depends entirely on your alternative. If you have been told at home that you need extensive bone grafting before implants are possible, the comparison is not "cheap implants versus expensive implants". It is a single surgery with fixed temporary teeth the same week, against a staged graft, months of healing, and then implant surgery on top — at a cost that, in the UK or the US, frequently exceeds the whole treatment abroad.
